About the Role

As a Platform Engineer at BJSS, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the delivery infrastructure, systems, and processes that underpin our technology transformation engagements. You'll lead the adoption of modern platforms and ways of working, working closely with delivery teams to deliver automation, tooling, and cloud infrastructure.

We're seeking hands-on Platform Engineers with a deep understanding of the Azure ecosystem to join our teams working on exciting digital programmes across various industries. As an Azure expert, you'll work alongside developers, architects, designers, analysts, and product owners to drive innovation and excellence.

Your Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud environments in Azure, leveraging your commercial experience to drive efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead the definition and support of the Azure delivery platform in complex engagements, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams on client sites.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform, ARM Templates, Helm, or Pulumi, to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • Implement pipeline build/deploy tools, like Azure DevOps, TFS, or Jenkins, to streamline delivery and improve quality.
  • Design and implement automation and scripting solutions using tools like PowerShell, AZ CLI, Python, Bash, Ruby, or Groovy, to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Develop and maintain configuration management technologies, such as DSC, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack, or Ansible, to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • Implement logging and monitoring tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure App Insights, New Relic, or Datadog, to provide real-time insights and improve decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with cloud platform design patterns and best practices, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive iterative/agile development methodologies and enable team delivery through technology.
