About the Role

We are seeking a talented Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Route 53 DNS Services team at AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating our cloud infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new cloud infrastructure services to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Use your expertise in Linux system administration and network fundamentals to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to scale operational efficiencies.
  • Investigate and resolve complex customer issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of Linux system administration.
  • Experience with systems automation using BASH, Python, Perl, etc.
  • Experience with network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP).
  • Good troubleshooting skills at all levels, from application to network to host.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to cloud computing concepts and design considerations.
  • Experience in a production environment.
  • Experience with monitoring frameworks (such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Elastic or similar).
