Alliance Automotive Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to oversee the successful operation of our busy branches.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in the automotive industry, with experience in managing teams and driving sales growth. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for:

  1. Day-to-day operation of the branches within your area, including management of sales teams and stock control.
  2. Evaluating employee performance and providing feedback and coaching as required.
  3. Developing customer relations within your area and communicating with Regional Sales Managers to meet targets.
  4. Regular interaction with customers, including telephone and in-branch visits, to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
  5. Managing and motivating a team of Branch Managers and employees to achieve sales goals and promotions.
  6. Ensuring Branch stock control and audits are completed and to schedules set.
  7. Efficient management of stock, including goods in, supplier and customer returns in all branches.
  8. Monitoring and driving telesales efficiency within your area.
  9. Ensuring service levels with parts deliveries are to a satisfactory standard in all branches.
  10. Resolving customer problems as needed.
  11. Ensure the planning and authorising staff holidays are as per company policy within all branches.
  12. Reporting and dealing with staffing issues, with all disciplinary issues to be dealt with via the HR department.
  13. Complying with all health & safety requirements.
  14. Ensuring all branches complete daily van checks and resolving defects reported.
  15. All Branches efficiently manage and handle cash and adhere to relevant procedures.
  16. Active in assisting credit control with customer debt, including running over-aged debt reports.
  17. Cooperating with other areas and departments relating to company practices.
  18. Driving promotional activities from across the area and achieving goals set.
  19. Adhering to high ethical and professional standards.
  20. Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping within the branches.
  21. Ensuring all company procedures are always adhered to.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the sales team within your area, identifying new business opportunities and developing existing relationships to drive sales growth. You will also be expected to organise your team to carry out local market research and monitor and report on competitor activity.

To be successful in this role, you must be a natural leader, self-driven and enjoy working as a team to achieve results. You will also need to have:

  1. Knowledge of the local area and customer base (desired but not essential).
  2. Proven ability to manage and grow direct reports.
  3. First class commercial awareness with an ability to leverage reporting data to drive growth and margin.
  4. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
