Telecommunications Instructor

LT Selection is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Tutor/Assessor to join our team in Leeds.
Job Purpose:The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and assessment within the telecommunications area, focusing on the BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals.
Main Responsibilities:- Design and deliver engaging teaching materials using effective teaching, learning, and assessment methods.
- Encourage critical thinking, debate, and student participation in telecommunications training.
- Facilitate student projects and assignments as needed.
- Mark and assess student work and examinations, providing constructive feedback and contributing to setting assignments.
- Ensure awareness of health and safety, disability equality, and welfare issues, reporting concerns to the Quality Manager.
The postholder will plan their workload, utilizing teaching resources and facilities to deliver designated activities, and coordinate with academic staff to meet student needs and expectations.
Decision Making:The successful candidate will contribute to the design and delivery of modules or designated teaching within the telecommunications role, identifying areas for development and proposing improvements with academic staff.
Key Contacts/Communication:- Students
- Departmental staff: The postholder will communicate complex ideas to learners using a range of knowledge and understanding, applying high-level skills and various media.
Postholders typically hold a Level 3 qualification and substantial professional experience in telecommunications, bringing a breadth of expertise and knowledge to the role. They will understand key academic policies and procedures, quality assurance measures, and inclusive practices, analyzing and assessing student contributions in class and assignments.
