LT Selection is seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Tutor/Assessor to join our team. As a Telecommunications Tutor/Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and assessment within the telecommunications area.
Main Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Design and deliver teaching materials through the use of appropriate teaching, learning, and assessment methods.
- Student Engagement: Challenge thinking, foster debate, and develop the ability of students to engage and develop in their telecommunications training.
- Project Facilitation: Facilitate student projects and/or assignments where appropriate.
- Assessment and Feedback: Mark and assess work and examinations, and provide feedback to students. Contribute to setting assignments.
- Health and Safety: Be aware of any Health and Safety, disability, equality, or welfare issues and raise any concerns with the Quality Manager.
The postholder will plan their workload and use teaching resources and facilities as appropriate to deliver designated activities. They will coordinate with others, such as academic staff in relevant departments, to ensure that student needs and expectations are met.
Decision MakingThe postholder will contribute to the design and delivery of modules or designated teaching within the telecommunications role. They may identify the need for developing the content or structure of modules with academic staff and make proposals on how this should be achieved.
Key Contacts/Communication- Students
- Departmental staff: The postholder will routinely communicate complex ideas to learners using a range of knowledge and understanding using high-level skills and a range of media.
Postholders will typically hold a Level 3 qualification along with substantial professional experience in telecommunications. They will be practitioners in their specialist area, bringing a breadth of experience and knowledge of their field of expertise, significantly contributing to the student experience and ensuring the distinctiveness of the course. They will understand key academic policies and procedures and the quality assurance measures in place for their activities. They must be knowledgeable about inclusive and non-discriminatory practices and be able to analyze and assess student contributions in class and assignments.
