About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to join our Joint Venture Partnership at Newmedica, a leading provider of NHS funded and private Ophthalmology services in the UK.

As a director managing your own independent eye hospital, you will be responsible for delivering operational excellence and continually improving the quality of care for patients. You will work in collaboration with Clinical Joint Venture Partners to ensure the day-to-day running of the practice, maintaining clinical safety and excellent care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of staff to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Developing and implementing operational strategies to drive business growth and success
  • Collaborating with Clinical Joint Venture Partners to ensure seamless delivery of clinical services
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including CQC regulations
  • Managing budgets and financial performance to achieve business objectives

In return, you will receive a competitive salary package, including a salary of £100,000 per annum, plus dividends, and the opportunity to accrue on a shareholders' loan of £50,000 per partner, repayable after 3 years.

About you

We are looking for a commercially driven, patient-centric individual with previous experience managing large teams and working with consultants. You should have a good understanding of CQC regulations, the new framework, and what good governance looks like. You must be able to work both operationally and strategically, and switch between both when needed. Previous experience in ophthalmology is not essential, as you will have the opportunity for a full and comprehensive induction plan covering all aspects of ophthalmology and eyecare.

The Newmedica Ophthalmology Joint Venture is typically a 3-4 partner company, and we are looking to speak to candidates based in Kent or wanting to relocate to the area.
