Primary Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to provide essential support in a year 2 class at a fantastic special need provision. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with additional needs and a proactive approach to engaging with students.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, including pre-verbal students, students who become dysregulated easily, ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
- Assist in implementing personalised learning strategies and interventions to help students achieve their full potential.
- Help create a safe and engaging learning environment that supports both academic and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to support each student's unique needs.
- Encourage student independence and confidence through structured activities and guidance.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly in a 1:1 or small group setting.
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both students and staff.
- The ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
- Relevant qualifications such as a level 2 or 3 teaching assistant certificate are desirable but not essential.
