Job Title: Residential Property Lawyer

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable law firm based in the UK, known for its expertise in residential property matters.

As a Residential Property Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in managing a diverse caseload of transactions from instruction to post-completion, supporting the residential property team in this process.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in residential property law and a strong understanding of the conveyancing process, including relevant legislation and regulations.

We offer a competitive salary range of £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications, plus generous holiday entitlement, pension scheme with firm contributions, opportunities for professional development and career progression, and a supportive and inclusive working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the residential property team in managing a diverse caseload of transactions from instruction to post-completion.
  • Assisting with the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties.
  • Supporting the management of remortgages, transfers of equity, and new build purchases.
  • Conducting property searches and liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant parties.
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, title documents, and other related legal documentation under the supervision of a solicitor.
  • Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and other legal requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and managing client expectations through regular communication.
  • Assisting in dealing with complex property issues, such as lease extensions, shared ownership, and adverse possession.
Key Skills and Experience Required
  • Previous experience in residential property law is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process, including relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent client care skills, with the ability to communicate legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving in all aspects of work.
  • Experience using conveyancing case management systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
