Key Responsibilities
As a Residential Property Lawyer, you will assist the residential property team in managing various residential property transactions. Your key duties will include:
- Assisting with the sale, purchase, and transfer of residential properties, including freehold and leasehold transactions.
- Supporting the management of remortgages, transfers of equity, and new build transactions.
- Conducting property searches, including title and planning searches, and liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, lease agreements, and other legal documentation under the supervision of a solicitor.
- Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, Land Registry requirements, and other legal standards.
- Maintaining accurate case records and managing client expectations through regular communication.
- Assisting with the resolution of property-related issues, such as boundary disputes and rights of way.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, encouraging repeat business and referrals.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum. In addition, we provide a generous holiday entitlement, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential property law is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the conveyancing process, including relevant legislation and regulations.
- Excellent client care skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and professionally.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience using conveyancing case management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
