About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Deputy Manager to join our team at North Lakes Children's Services, a well-established local provider of therapeutic residential care and education for boys aged 6-18. Our goal is to improve the resilience, self-esteem, and abilities of all the young people we work with.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist in the management of our 4-bedroom home in Carlisle, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our residents.
  • To lead and motivate our team, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • To develop and implement effective strategies for supporting young people with Emotional Behavioural Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work backgrounds.
Requirements
  • A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families.
  • A willingness to learn and take on new challenges, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence, with the ability to cover other Residential Homes as needed.
