About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nursing Leader to join our team at Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in providing senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team, supporting the Ward Manager in the day-to-day management and supervision of the ward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Ward Manager in providing management and supervision of a team of registered and unregistered staff.
  • Implement best practice across the ward, ensuring that care and treatment meets the standards set by regulators.
  • Support changes within the service, driving continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Responsible for the clinical direction of the service, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and treatment.
  • Support the delivery of personalised care, contributing to service improvement and patient outcomes.
  • Supporting and contributing to Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) practice, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve shared goals.
  • Implementation and evaluation of therapeutic interventions within an overall care programme, ensuring that patients receive evidence-based care.
About You
  • Active Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), meeting the requirements of Revalidation.
  • Clinical Supervision experience essential, training desirable.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development and intent to maintain and develop Continued Professional Development and leadership.
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Good computer skills, with experience of using electronic patient records and other healthcare systems.
  • Experience in Mental Health or Learning Disability services, with a minimum of 3 years' experience post-registration.
