Risk Management Specialist

Join Vp plc, a dynamic group of companies with expertise in equipment rental, as we seek a highly skilled Group Risk Officer to drive forward our risk management strategy.
About the RoleWe are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in risk management to join our team. As a Group Risk Officer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing our risk management strategy, working closely with the Head of Risk and Internal Audit.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with corporate governance expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess risks, and develop effective risk mitigation measures.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to the Risk Committee and other stakeholders on risk-related matters.
- Develop and maintain risk registers, and ensure that risk management processes are embedded across the organization.
- Provide training and support to employees on risk management best practices.
- Work closely with the Internal Audit team to review risk mitigation measures and ensure that they are effective.
- Participate in change programs and projects, and provide support on risk management aspects.
- Proven experience in risk management, preferably in a plc corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance expectations and risk management best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships and address conflict and resistance to change.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a logical and structured approach to work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to present to a varied audience.
