Job Title: Full-Time SEMH Teaching Assistant Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a specialist school in Poole. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualised support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage with their learning and manage their emotions. You will work closely with the classroom teacher to create a nurturing and structured environment that promotes positive behaviour and academic progress.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children or young adults with SEMH needs. However, this is not essential as training will be provided. What is essential is a proactive and flexible approach to supporting students in their learning and a genuine passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs.
