Make a difference in the lives of students with Autism and SEMH needs by joining our team at Teaching Personnel. We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to deliver engaging lessons tailored to the unique requirements of our students.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team, starting in January 2025. This full-time and part-time position offers flexibility and allows you to make a significant impact on the educational journey of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with Autism and SEMH.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and development.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress, ensuring individual education plans (IEPs) are met.
  • Collaborate with the school team, including SEN specialists, teaching assistants, and parents, to support student achievement.
  • Develop effective strategies to adapt teaching methods and manage classroom behavior.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching English, preferably within an SEN or alternative provision setting.
  • A strong understanding of Autism and SEMH and their impact on learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and a passion for working with students with special educational needs.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive opportunities for professional development, a competitive salary package, flexible working options, and a supportive working environment.
