HPC/Grid Engineer – 5,000+ Global Server Estate – Multi-Strategic Investment Firm – Compensation in Excess of £200,000

We are working on an urgent mandate at a technology-driven global investment firm with a strong presence in London. They're looking to hire an HPC Specialist into their core platform team to play a strategic role in multiple mission-critical projects, including the build-out of a brand-new enterprise GPU cluster hosted on Linux.

This is a great opportunity for a high-performance computing expert to have full ownership of a large estate and vastly improve the performance of the cluster to enable the business to scale and improve performance. You should have strong experience building out distributed, performant Linux infrastructure with competency around storage, containerization, and network optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance computing solutions for a large-scale global server estate.
  • Develop and maintain distributed systems infrastructure, including storage, networking, and containerization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience working in a Linux-based HPC environment.
  • Understanding of storage, networking, containerization with Kubernetes, Slurm, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of performant distributed systems engineering.

Nice to Have:

  • Python scripting experience.
  • Understanding of automation tooling such as Ansible, Git, Terraform, etc.
