Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced HPC/Grid Engineer to join our team at Stanford Black Limited, a leading technology-centric global hedge fund. As a key member of our core platform team, you will play a strategic role in multiple mission-critical projects, including the build-out of a brand-new enterprise GPU cluster hosted on Linux.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance computing solutions for our global server estate.
  • Collaborate with our technology team to develop and maintain our Linux-based infrastructure.
  • Optimize storage, networking, and containerization to ensure maximum performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement automation tooling using Ansible, Git, and Terraform.
  • Work closely with our engineering team to ensure seamless integration with our existing systems.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience working in a Linux-based HPC environment.
  • Deep understanding of storage, networking, containerization, and distributed systems engineering.
  • Strong experience with automation tooling, including Ansible, Git, and Terraform.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Python scripting experience.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Slurm, or similar containerization platforms.
