About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Naval Architect to join our Commercial Team in Southampton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing commercial vessels, including crew transfer vessels, service operations vessels, ferries, patrol boats, and workboats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop suitable hull forms for commercial vessels
  • Undertake lightship weight analysis for vessel structure, systems, and outfit
  • Determine required propulsion systems to meet operational requirements
  • Work with other team members to develop 3D render images for tender submissions
  • Carry out seakeeping assessments through model testing and analysis
  • Undertake intact and damage stability assessments
  • Develop global structural arrangements
About You

You will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture with a minimum of two years' relevant experience in the marine industry. Greater experience is required for more senior roles. You will be competent in fundamental Naval Architecture tasks, including hull design and stability calculation, weight calculation, performance prediction, model testing, seakeeping analysis, tank plan development, and arrangement drawings.
