Psychology Placement Assistant

We are seeking a Psychology Placement Assistant to work with students with severe special educational needs (SEND) at our Post-16 College in Ealing. As a Psychology Placement Assistant, you will support students with various physical disabilities and behavioural challenges.
The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of SEND and SEMH, enabling them to develop life skills through Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will work alongside healthcare professionals and specialists, including Occupational Therapists and experienced Learning Support Assistants.
This is a fantastic opportunity for psychology graduates to apply their theoretical skills in a practical setting. As a Psychology Placement Assistant, you will support students with severe learning and physical additional needs on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Working with students aged 16 years and over with severe SEND/SEMH needs
- Supporting students with their learning and development of life skills alongside experienced professionals
- Managing behaviour and developing valuable field-based experience
We are EdEx, a specialist SEN unit within a Post-16 College in Ealing. We provide a supportive and inclusive environment for students with SEND requirements. Our team includes experienced professionals who share a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
What We OfferWe offer a long-term, full-time role based in Ealing, with a competitive salary (£25,000 - £30,000 per annum). The successful candidate will have opportunities for specialised training and professional development. Good transport links make it easy to get to our location.
