About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operative to join our team at McLaren Automotive. As a key member of our Logistics department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and the timely delivery of materials to our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage production lineside inventory function to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure continued running of lines and respond to any queries regarding lineside shortages and replacement parts
  • Monitor lineside stock accuracy and resolve issues where necessary
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators to measure and improve logistics performance
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Production, Warehouse, and Quality, to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Ensure health and safety standards are achieved and promote individual responsibility for health and safety
  • Review and improve operating environment through establishing and maintaining housekeeping standards
  • Follow standard operating procedures and apply continuous improvement tools and techniques to eliminate waste

Requirements

  • Detailed working understanding of Logistics and associated up and down stream processes
  • Previous experience within the manufacturing industry, especially automotive serial production
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • IT literate with experience of using MRP, warehousing systems, and SAP
  • Development and experience of key performance indicators
