About the Opportunity

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Care Home Operations Supervisor to join our team at Flexicruit Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our children's care home in Birmingham, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding for the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality care.
  • Manage care staff, ensuring performance expectations are met and high standards of care are delivered.
  • Safeguard the safety, well-being, and development of all children, working with social workers, therapists, and other professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with OFSTED and other regulatory bodies, achieving positive inspection outcomes.
  • Develop and oversee individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Manage the homes budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and financial sustainability.
  • Lead safeguarding efforts, ensuring children's safety and protection at all times.
  • Build relationships with external partners, including local authorities, schools, and healthcare providers.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures supporting best practices in residential child care.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Child Care (or equivalent).
  • Must be Ofsted registered.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years managing a residential child care setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development, trauma-informed care, safeguarding, and relevant legislation/regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent team management and staff support skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to make informed decisions, solve problems effectively, and address challenges proactively.
