We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Girls Academy and Regional Performance Coach to join our Pathway Cricket department at Somerset County Cricket Club.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering our Emerging Players Programme (EPP) and Academy, with a focus on developing high-potential female cricketers. You will contribute heavily to the University of Exeter Women's cricket programme, providing high-quality coaching to top-performing players.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver coaching sessions to female cricketers at various levels, including adolescent players.
- Contribute to the development of our Emerging Players Programme (EPP) and Academy.
- Work closely with the University of Exeter Women's cricket programme to provide coaching and support to top-performing players.
- Identify and nurture talent from Devon and Cornwall County Age Groups (CAG) and across the wider region.
- Develop and implement coaching plans to improve player performance and development.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective coaching environment.
Requirements:
- ECB Level 2 Coaching qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience coaching within a talent pathway environment, especially with adolescent female players.
- Strong ability to facilitate high-quality practices for aspiring cricketers.
- Awareness of best practices within player identification and development.
- Approachable, reflective, and empathetic with the ability to positively influence a variety of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working.
- Maintain high professional standards and a drive for excellence in everything you do.
