Job Title: Legal Counsel - SEN Education and Care

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our team at Aspris Children's Services. As a Legal Counsel, you will provide outstanding and accessible legal services to all areas of the business, leading a team of legal and commercial professionals to advise internal stakeholders on legal, commercial, employment, and compliance risks, business strategies, and other issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on a variety of legal, commercial, employment, and compliance risks, business strategies, and other issues.
  • Lead a team of legal and commercial professionals to advise on legal matters.
  • Hold responsibility for the legal budget, proactively managing and monitoring budget spend, using KPIs and other metrics.
  • Have excellent knowledge of data protection laws, ICO guidance, and relevant codes of practice.
  • Previous experience working with education or children's services or working with Ofsted/CQC (or regional equivalent) regulated entities would be beneficial but is not essential.
