Clinical Leader in Occupational Therapy

As a Clinical Leader in Occupational Therapy within the multi-disciplinary care team at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust, your primary responsibilities will include:
• Leading by example, providing expert advice and guidance to the occupational therapy team on evidence-based practices, user-centred approaches, and collaborative working methods.
• Developing and implementing effective strategies to improve service delivery, patient outcomes, and team performance, working closely with staff, carers, and service users to achieve shared goals.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to identify service gaps, develop innovative solutions, and implement new practices that enhance occupational therapy services.
• Maintaining and improving professional knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date with national guidelines, audit results, research, evidence-based practice, and legislation to inform service development and delivery.
• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging staff to participate in audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives, and leading by example in adopting new practices and technologies.
• Supporting the development of junior staff and students, providing mentorship, guidance, and supervision to ensure they receive the necessary support to excel in their roles.
