About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at ILS Case Management. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to James, a 10-year-old child with complex medical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support James with daily living activities, including getting up and dressed, ready for school, after-school care, bathing, and taking medication.
  • Assist with hydrotherapy sessions on a 2:1 care basis and participate in other activities with or without family members.
  • Help with household chores and maintain a safe and clean environment.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with special needs and complex medical conditions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth, and compassion.
  • Essential: Driver required, own car necessary for work purposes.
  • Desirable: Experience working with children with visual impairments, interest in therapy, PEG feeding.
Benefits
  • Competitive hourly rate: £14.50 (Monday to Friday days), £16.00 (weekend days), National Living Wage (Monday to Friday sleeping nights), and National Living Wage + £1 (weekend sleeping nights).
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata.
