Job Description

The Sustainability Manager will lead all sustainable initiatives and projects for clients across the UK. This role entails proposing new and innovative processes and systems, communicating their benefits internally and to customers, and ensuring the company is seen as a market leader in sustainability, particularly in the NHS and Social Care sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for environmental responsibility and social standards compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress towards sustainability goals.
  • Identify areas for improvement and assess the organization's sustainability performance.
  • Prepare sustainability reports with research-backed recommendations.
  • Train employees on sustainability issues.
  • Ensure legal compliance and stay updated on relevant legislation.
  • Champion sustainability, drive innovation, and encourage continuous improvement.
  • Practice Corporate Social Responsibility through community engagement, volunteering programs, and ethical sourcing practices.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Work with a team to develop and innovate green policies and processes.
  • Oversee policy development and record information to track environmental impact and costing.
  • Develop systems according to business and customer-defined scopes and requirements.
  • Provide clear and accurate descriptions of facts, ideas, and proposals to customers and within the business.
  • Serve as an expert source of advice on competition, sustainable trends, and initiatives within the healthcare/Social care sector and the wider market.
  • Lead monitoring and benchmarking of product quality related to carbon and green credentials.
  • E nsure adherence to environmental standards at all times.

Salary and Benefits:
