Reed is seeking a skilled Caretaker to provide a caretaking service for a high school in Southall. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school premises are cleaned to the approved specification and taking overall responsibility for the security and day-to-day maintenance of the school site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the school provides a secure environment for its staff and pupils and visitors.
  • To understand Health and Safety Policies and ensure that all duties are carried out with due diligence to health and safety procedures.
  • To participate in the staff, review and development appraisal process.
  • To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

Requirements:

  • Supervision: Oversee cleaners/contractors.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate well with colleagues.
  • Repairs & Security: Perform job-specific duties.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain privacy on school matters.
  • Independence: Work with minimal supervision.
  • Safety: Use ladders and equipment safely.
  • Communication: Effective oral and written skills.
  • Health & Safety: Apply regulations in school.
  • Disability Awareness: Understand related legislation.
