About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounting Director to lead our finance team in managing client relationships and portfolios. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of European taxes and a proven track record of implementing processes to ensure deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 5 finance professionals in managing client relationships and portfolios.
  • Collaborate with the head of department on client onboarding, fee proposals, and billing.
  • Implement processes to ensure deadlines are met, including annual accounts, audits, and corporation tax returns.
  • Sense check accounts, corporation tax, bookkeeping, and monthly reporting.
  • Develop a broad understanding of European taxes.
  • Engage in direct client contact and liaison with colleagues from other departments and overseas colleagues.
  • Manage billing and WIP control.

Requirements:

  • UK Practice experience.
  • Experience working in a European country.
  • Fluent in a European language.
  • Understanding of Cross-border VAT.
