Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Solicitor to join our market-leading Regulatory Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on regulatory issues, including environmental and health and safety matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake a busy and varied caseload, encompassing contentious and non-contentious regulatory issues for a range of clients.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, working in accordance with client protocols and demonstrating a high level of knowledge and skill.
  • Assist with business development activities, developing and establishing contentious and non-contentious work streams for the firm.
  • Demonstrate sound file management, including compliance with DAC Beachcroft protocols and client protocols.
  • Assume responsibility for quality control and benchmark compliance on your caseload, including accuracy and timeliness of management reporting and information.
  • Maintain an understanding of other practice areas and an active internal network.
  • Maintain and develop technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions, reading relevant publications, and exceeding Law Society CPD requirements.
Requirements
  • A Solicitor with 5+ years PQE, with experience gained within a regulatory and/or commercially focused environment.
  • Experience of advising on regulatory work, including EA investigations, interviews under caution, prosecutions, environmental breaches, environmental permitting, pollution, and waste management.
  • Experience of business development, building client relationships, and client relationship management.
  • Ability to travel at short notice to assist clients in managing situations on the ground.
  • Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate alignment with the Firm's Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined, and Supportive).
