Merchandising Manager Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing SME in South Yorkshire to recruit a Merchandising Manager. This role will be instrumental in establishing a merchandising function, working closely with the buying team to drive growth and meet business targets.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced merchandise planning environment, preferably in both corporate and SME settings. They will have a proven track record of leading and developing teams, as well as being hands-on and trading across all categories.

The business is looking for someone who can build merchandise planning tools from scratch and work in a trading environment with products coming from the Far East, Subcontinent, and short lead times. The successful candidate will report to the senior leadership team and work with excellent buying counterparts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement merchandise planning strategies to drive growth and meet business targets
  • Lead and develop a team of merchandise planners to ensure effective planning and execution
  • Work closely with the buying team to ensure alignment and effective trading
  • Build and maintain merchandise planning tools and processes to support business growth
