Job Opportunity

Zachary Daniels is partnering with a growing SME in South Yorkshire to recruit a Merchandising Manager. This role will play a key part in establishing a merchandising function, working closely with the buying team to ensure the business meets its growth targets.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced core merchandise planning function, preferably in both corporate and SME settings. They will have a strong background in building merchandise planning tools from scratch and working in a trading environment with products from the Far East, Subcontinent, and short lead times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement merchandise planning strategies to drive business growth
  • Lead and develop a team to establish a merchandising function
  • Work closely with the buying team to ensure effective merchandise planning
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Experience in core retail merchandise planning, preferably in both corporate and SME settings
  • Strong background in building merchandise planning tools from scratch
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment
  • Experience working with products from the Far East, Subcontinent, and short lead times

This role will report into the senior leadership team and will be working with excellent buying counterparts. It's a brilliant opportunity for someone to develop a merchandising function and drive business growth.
