We are seeking a Principal Process Engineer to strengthen our engineering team based out of Exeter or Bristol with hybrid working available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide superior quality Engineering Design services to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts.
  • Co-ordinate the design and produce design documents and drawings taking due account of health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards pertaining to the contract.
  • Ensure co-ordination of designs with all other disciplines internal and external to MWH Treatment in order to ensure that the design processes carried out on the contract are co-ordinated for the benefit of the contract as a whole.
  • Work within a culture where satisfying the customer is recognised as the key to achieving other objectives, and that customers include everyone receiving benefit from our processes, whether end users or other departments within the company.
  • Reduce waste to a minimum from all departmental activities.
  • Ensure designs take account of environmental issues.

Significant experience in technical delivery of process plant systems on complex water industry engineering projects is required. A strong understanding of the principles of water and sewage treatment with a bias to water is essential. Experience of managing members of staff in designing relevant discipline aspects of water and sewage treatment plants is also required. A relevant discipline Engineering degree is necessary. Good general knowledge of all aspects of water treatment, e.g. mechanical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering, and project management is desirable. A flexible mind, with the ability to assimilate large amounts of different data at one time, is essential. Computer literacy and a driving license are also required. Experience of working on design and construct projects using digital design is preferred.
