Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Trade Team Lead to join our team at Workshop Recruitment.

This is a key role within our organization, responsible for managing a team of trade operatives in a social housing setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that repairs are undertaken safely and efficiently, while also providing technical advice and support to operatives.

About the Role

  • To manage a team of trade operatives, overseeing daily tasks and activities to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • To provide technical guidance and support to operatives, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during repairs.
  • To maintain high standards of quality, undertaking regular assessments and providing instructions to rectify any defects or snagging issues.
  • To develop and implement training programs for operatives, enhancing their skills and knowledge to improve overall performance.
  • To build strong relationships with tenants, communicating effectively and resolving any issues that may arise.

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant trade (carpentry, plumbing, roofing, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to implement company policies and processes, maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Good Excel/Outlook and general IT skills, with ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification, with clean driving license and good commercial awareness.
