Quality Engineer - Motorcycle Manufacturing

Premea Limited is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in Leicestershire. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and streamlining the current GMA QMS system, improving and documenting the company's quality policies, processes, and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of quality policies, processes, and systems.
  • Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with GMA standards.
  • Work with various departments to develop process flow diagrams.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers to audit, document, and update PPAP documents.
  • Responsible for maintaining the PPAP tracker.
  • Coordinate Appearance Approval Reports and Form, Fit and Function Reports.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to progress internal corrective actions and improvements.
  • Work with Quality Engineers to establish quality concerns investigation protocol and use GMA SCAR and 8D process as part of the investigation.
  • Maintain the Quality Issues Database system.
  • Ensure suppliers have GMA-related documents and quality manuals.
  • Liaise with GMA design regarding product manufacturing methods.
  • Be involved in continuous improvement activities.
  • Support UK and Europe-related warranty issues.
Requirements
  • Quality system experience (maintenance and external system audits).
  • Lead Auditor Qualified (Preferred).
  • Good working knowledge of ISO:9001, AS9100, and IATF.
  • APQP and PPAP experience.
  • DFM and manufacturing process experience.
  • Quality problem-solving, corrective actions, and investigation.
  • Supplier product development support (European suppliers).
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • A self-starter and able to work on own initiative.
  • HND in engineering, mechanical engineering, or quality engineering.
  • Previous experience of at least 6 years within a quality role.
