Support Worker for Young Adults with SEN

We are working with a specialist college that supports young people aged 16 and over to recruit a Support Worker for Young Adults with SEN. The college is a specialist provision for those with additional needs, providing a holistic curriculum focused on independent living skills such as budgeting, finance, cooking, and other key aspects of adult life.

The successful Support Worker would be someone who has worked with people with additional needs, such as those from schools, care backgrounds, or other sectors that support those in need. The role would involve:

  • Supporting delivery of tasks with a Teacher
  • Nurturing and caring support of vulnerable people
  • Providing a sense of calm and safety
  • Working within traditional school hours, approximately 08:30-16:00
  • Working proactively to identify those who need support

The college is part of a larger trust which has a renowned specialist approach to working with those with additional needs. The successful candidate would benefit from working with the market leader in education recruitment, having a personal consultant for this or other roles, a competitive wage structure, and the ability to choose their own work.
