  • The successful candidate will oversee and manage relationships with chemical suppliers, ensuring proper usage and compliance.
  • They will also host and manage site hygiene audits, ensuring the facility is prepared for internal and external inspections.
  • Responsibilities include managing the hygiene department budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards.
  • Key duties and responsibilities also include serving as the key point of contact for hygiene-related matters, ensuring clear communication across all relevant departments.
  • Additionally, they will take ownership of non-conformances or hygiene issues, addressing them promptly and proactively preventing future occurrences.
  • Leadership by example is essential to foster a culture of awareness and commitment to food safety, encouraging staff to report issues and rewarding proactive behavior.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A proven track record of experience in hygiene management within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and audit processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
