We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Research Scientist to join our team in NHS Lanarkshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing a broad range of specialist and routine laboratory diagnostic investigations in Haematology/Blood Transfusion using a range of scientific measurements and technical procedures on patient samples.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To use specialist training to operate complex equipment and solve problems.
  • To act as a mentor to less experienced Biomedical Scientists and participate in training/supervision of Trainee Biomedical Scientists and Medical Laboratory Assistants.

In return, we offer a competitive salary of approximately £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This is a permanent full-time position, working 37 hours per week. The role will be based in Haematology within University Hospital Wishaw.
