About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Maintenance Manager to join our team at NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our engineering services, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance activities, including planned preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations.
  • Supervise and lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, risk management plans, and safe systems of work to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and prioritize maintenance needs, ensuring minimal disruption to our services.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate diploma or equivalent level of knowledge in construction or engineering.
  • Professional knowledge of trade procedures, acquired through a 4-year accredited training course or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with a proven track record of versatility and flexibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to chair meetings and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Ability to speak Welsh (desirable).
