Laundry Services Lead Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Laundry Services Lead Engineer to join our team at NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the maintenance department, coordinating and managing the full range of maintenance activities in the plant, including day-to-day running of the PPM system, organizing installations, upkeep of stock, ordering of spare parts, and management of onsite contractors.
Main Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Lead and motivate staff to achieve high-quality work and meet performance targets.
- Develop and implement risk management schedules and safe systems of work.
- Plan and implement planned preventive maintenance schedules.
- Work with suppliers to rectify disputes and ensure smooth operations.
- Postgraduate diploma or equivalent level of knowledge in construction or engineering.
- Professional knowledge of trade procedures acquired through a 4-year accredited training course.
- Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with versatility and flexibility in a range of work procedures and practices.
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
