Laundry Services Lead Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laundry Services Lead Engineer to join our team at Llansamlet Laundry. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day line management of the maintenance team, coordinating and overseeing the full range of maintenance activities in the plant.
Main Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate maintenance activities, including the day-to-day running of the PPM system, organizing installations, upkeep of stock, ordering of spare parts, and management of onsite contractors.
- Lead and motivate the maintenance team to achieve optimum plant performance, as prescribed by laundry management, and coordinate service requirements with the Laundry Manager and Deputy.
- Monitor the quality of work produced within the section and identify opportunities for training and development of engineering staff.
- Assume responsibility for cover if additional hours are required in the plant and support other LPU's within the All-Wales Laundry Service.
- Recognized apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical disciplines, completed a relevant City & Guilds craft certificate course, and possess a sound knowledge of trade principles and practice.
- Significant experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with a thorough understanding of engineering maintenance systems and a range of work procedures, practices underpinned by theory or practical experience.
- Specialist knowledge of industrial laundry maintenance and evidence of significant CPD, including healthcare engineering related CPD.
- Recognized qualifications in both mechanical and electrical engineering, including hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC programming, and steam generator control systems.
