Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 7 Clinical Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to lead on compassionate, high-quality psychological care for older people and individuals with dementia.

The role involves working across our Older Adult inpatient wards, providing a flexible combination of inpatient work spanning services for older adults with and without dementia. You will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, providing psychological therapy, neuropsychological assessment, group work, carer support, and training of non-psychology colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the development and implementation of psychological care plans for older adults and individuals with dementia.
  • Provide supervision and support to junior psychologists and other team members.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for non-psychology colleagues.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Person Specification
  • Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Evidence of relevant CPD in relation to area of specialism/interest.
