Clinical Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will play a key role in providing clinical supervision to members within a multi-disciplinary team, utilizing your expertise to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive telephone triage and clinical assessment services to patients and/or their carers/relatives, resulting in safe and appropriate clinical decisions.
- Act as an autonomous practitioner, providing real-time clinical support to NHS 24 frontline staff, ensuring safe, appropriate, and person-centred outcomes.
- Facilitate the provision of accurate healthcare information, self-care/health improvement advice, or referral to the appropriate level and location of care, meeting the holistic and therapeutic requirements of the patient/carer.
- Deliver clinical supervision to non-clinical staff using various models, promoting continuous learning and development.
- Registered as an Adult nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register.
- Excellent clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to provide continuous clinical supervision and leadership.
- Extensive post-registration experience, preferably within an acute or primary care setting, with a broad range of knowledge across multiple specialties.
- Critical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
NHS 24 offers a competitive salary package, with a permanent contract on Band 6 £39,912 - £48,635* (pro rata for part-time hours). Placement on salary scale is dependent on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service.
Competitive salary enhancements for working unsocial hours are in addition to the above basic starting salary of £37,831, resulting in the following hourly rates:
- Basic Hourly Rate of £20.68
- Saturday/After 8pm Weekday Hourly Rate of £31.03
- Sunday/Public Holiday Hourly Rate of £41.37
As an NHS Scotland employee, you will be entitled to:

NHS 24 shift patterns command an average uplift of 33% in addition to the basic salary. Dependent on individual shift patterns, this information is indicative only and cannot be taken as guaranteed.
