Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. This is a 1-year fixed-term contract in a Teaching Assistant role, which will involve providing individual support to pupils with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual support to pupils with additional needs
  • Work in a welcoming and supportive school environment
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Support the development of pupils' skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to achieve educational goals

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children with additional educational needs, preferably in a primary or early years setting
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of behaviour and motivating children to learn
  • Confidence in providing support using good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to be fair, apply equal opportunities at all times, and understand the importance of confidentiality
  • Resilience, optimism, and a belief that with the right support, all children can make effective progress
  • Evidence of team working and an ability to use your own initiative
  • Commitment to the foundation, aims, and values of the school as a Church school
  • Commitment to ongoing personal professional development
