As a key team member of Virgin Active, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our members.


Responsibilities




  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal facility operations.




  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance engineers to execute daily and weekly tasks, adhering to company policies and health and safety regulations.




  • Collaborate with department heads to identify and address maintenance needs, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality member experiences.




  • Manage maintenance budgets and resources effectively, optimizing costs and service quality.




  • Act as the primary point of contact for external contractors and service providers, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of issues.




  • Participate in on-call duties and contribute to after-hours maintenance operations as required.




  • Maintain accurate records and reports on maintenance activities, tracking performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.




  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with club staff and external partners to promote a culture of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.




Requirements




  • Qualifications: Technical Level 2 or higher (City & Guilds equivalent) and 5+ years of relevant experience.




  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.




  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively.




  • Proven experience in maintenance management, with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations.




  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
