Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MAIT Engineer to join our team at Line Up Aviation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective production of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing instructions and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Design, commission, and prove associated tooling to optimize production efficiency.
  • Support the industrial validation process through the use of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
  • Resolve technical problems that may arise during the manufacturing process, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Manage configuration control by embodying design modifications into manufacturing instructions.
  • Support the non-conformance process using SAP, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Requirements

  • Formal technical engineering or craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21.
  • Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent certificate.
  • 5 years' experience within an engineering discipline, with a focus on manufacturing and production.
  • Ability to interpret design drawings and produce manufacturing build instructions for skilled and semi-skilled operators.
  • Experience of electronic sub-assembly manufacture through to system-level builds.
  • Experience and knowledge of the assembly process for small/miniature electro-mechanical actuation systems.
  • Ability to work within a team environment, contributing to a collaborative and dynamic production team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Manual handling training and ESD training.
