Job Summary

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Global Product Stewardship Leader to join our team at Avantor. In this critical role, you will lead and develop a global team responsible for managing all product and chemical-related information, including chemical product safety, chemical management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Avantor's product stewardship roadmap, setting standards, processes, and leading training programs.
  • Drive organizational knowledge and capability development, focusing on cost optimization and technology-driven efficiency.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure successful implementation of stewardship programs and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external groups, including government agencies and industry associations, to stay updated on best practices and lead advocacy efforts.
  • Oversee global compliance programs, including SDS and GHS labeling, and manage adherence to regulations such as REACH, RoHS, and EPA (TSCA).
Requirements
  • PhD in Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in product stewardship or regulatory compliance with chemicals, including consumer products and regulated items.
  • Expertise in hazard communication and chemical regulations, including GHS, TSCA, and REACH.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across diverse teams and build effective business relationships.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and IT systems.
