Catering Team Member

Kitchen Porter is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team at The Brentwood School. As a key member of our catering staff, you will be responsible for assisting our Head Chef and Chefs with food preparation and production throughout the outlet.
The successful candidate will have excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, demonstrating a real passion for food & service and possessing bags of enthusiasm.
We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours, being supportive of colleagues and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
• Assist Head Chef & Chefs with food preparation and production throughout the outlet
• Ensure that the production and service of food/meals is delivered to the specified requirements and agreed standards
• Assist with the receipt and storage of goods deliveries for the service outlet
• Undertake personal responsibility for Food Hygiene, Health and Safety relating to food production and services
• Participate with colleagues in a regularly convened catering staff forums
Requirements
• Hold Food Safety Level 2 (or be able to achieve on appointment)
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Flexible approach to working hours
• Supportive of colleagues
• Keen to learn on the job
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is £19,488.00 per annum, paid at £11.75 per hour for 175 working days plus 28 days holiday pay. Additional benefits include free meals whilst at work, company sick pay scheme, and a range of employee benefits.
Location
The role is based at The Brentwood School in Brentwood, Essex, CM15.
