About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shop Manager to join our team at Cameron Clarke Associates. As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our retail operations, including sales, customer service, and team management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Sales and Revenue: Meet sales targets, increase sales and profit for the shop, and actively recruit, line manage and support shop volunteers to maximise sales and revenue for participating charities.
  • Customer Service and Experience: Offer exceptional customer service, communicate with a variety of people at different levels, and understand excellent customer service and act as an ambassador for our client in their local community.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of people with passion and enthusiasm, offering support to the team as needed, demonstrating appropriate leadership and desired behaviours.
  • Operational Management: Manage the set-up processes of the shop, including the processing of deliveries and reporting of discrepancies, manage stock levels, replenishing accordingly, and liaise with Regional Manager to request top-ups of stock.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Support the marketing team with activities to raise the profile of the shop and organisation in the local community, and identify volunteer recruitment needs, action recruitment campaigns in discussion with Regional Manager.
Requirements
  • Experience across customer-facing environments
  • Experience of working under own initiative within an established commercial framework
  • Organisational skills
  • Time management skills
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the retail sector, ideally within a charity context
  • Commercial awareness and ability to make decisions to drive revenue
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of people at different levels
  • Understands excellent customer service and can act as an ambassador for our client
