Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our team at East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality pharmacy services to our patients.
Main Responsibilities- Assist in the provision of a high-quality pharmacy optimisation service to patients of the Trust.
- Assess patients' individual pharmaceutical care needs within 72 hours of identification.
- Initiate and complete medicine reconciliations for each identified patient.
- Ensure accurate documentation of Medications Optimisation on the unit.
- Participate in dispensary duties where applicable.
- Maintain Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) status.
- Communicate discharge information to patients, Community Pharmacies, and GPs.

Requirements- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
- Completed final accuracy checking training as part of the pharmacy technician qualification (post-2020) OR Nationally accredited with a final accuracy checking qualification (pre-2020).
- Hospital pharmacy post-qualification experience.
- Drug history taking.
- Awareness of quality and patient care issues.
- Knowledge of regulations and legislation relevant to pharmacy, dispensary, and clinical services.
- Knowledge of pharmacy computer and automation systems.
- Experience of using Microsoft software.
- Able to use Microsoft Excel/Word/Teams to an intermediate level.
