Salary: The estimated salary for this position is £61,778 - £84,559 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

">

This Band 7 Specialist Mental Health Practitioner position offers a unique opportunity to work within our thriving Older Person's Psychology Team. As a member of this team, you will provide high-quality psychological therapy services to older adults under secondary care mental health services.

You will work across localities within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, experiencing the breadth of clinical work that the specialty has to offer. You will be well-supported by senior colleagues and provided with opportunities for career development.

Main Duties

  • ">
  • Provide psychological assessments and therapy services to older adults under secondary care mental health services.">
  • Consult and train staff within the Older Person's Community Mental Health Teams (OPCMHT).">
  • Work within CMHTs, providing psychological therapies for clients.">

Requirements">
  • ">
  • A minimum of significant experience working as a psychological therapy practitioner and demonstrating the required competences.">
  • Experience of working with older people presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity.">
  • Training in at least one psychotherapeutic model, preferably CBT.">
  • Registration with a recognised professional body.">
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable.">
