Job Title: Aspiring Clinical Psychologist

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aspiring Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Teaching Assistant - SEN Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with secondary-aged pupils with complex learning, social, and communication difficulties.

About the School:

Our school is renowned for providing a safe and supportive learning environment for children with special educational needs. We offer a range of therapies, including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, music, and speech and language therapies, as part of our students' Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP). Our team works closely with therapists to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of our students.

About the Role:

  • Provide assistance and support to children before, during, and after lessons
  • Assist children in understanding and participating in tasks in an appropriate way
  • Encourage the development of social skills and confidence
  • Maintain individual student records
  • Support the development of a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Participate in team meetings and training programs
  • Follow regulations related to safeguarding
  • Support individual needs, including medical and personal care tasks as necessary
